Welcome to TUAM SCOUTS WEBSITE! Hello, This is Tuam Scouts WebSite. Tuam Scouts is the 2nd unit of the Galway region and is a C.S.I.(Catholic Scouts of Ireland) Scout unit. Robert Baden Powell (left) founded the scout movement and held the first ever Scout camp in 1907. 2nd Galway is made up of 3 sections Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. | ||||||||||||||||

3 leaders and about 25 Scouts make up the Scout section. The Leaders are: Mag Holian, Angela Tierney and B. McNamara. We are a very active Scout troop in the west of Ireland. We are a new troop; Just reopened in 1996. Since then we have camped and hiked all over our beutiful country. In '96 we went to Larch Hill in Wicklow and it was a great success. We went along way to Tipperary in '97 and we revisited Larch Hill in '98 and that is just our annual camps. For our annual camp this year we will be heading down south to Kerry. Where we will go to Celtic adventure Centre for 7 Nights we head off on the 5th of July. Lets all hope that it will be a great Scouting event! | ||||||||||||||||
